Celestial Sigil

Consume · ConsumeOther3

[Tides of Terraria] A seal marked with symbols nobody has deciphered. Placed on a Summoning Altar, it calls up a powerful entity.

This is where the crafting chain ends — nothing downstream consumes it, so a stockpile earns you nothing.

Celestial Sigil Crafting Recipe

Work: 10000

Crafting it takes 100 materials across 1 type.

Where to Find Celestial Sigil

The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is chests in the Yakushima at 100.0% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.

Using Celestial Sigil Well

The sigil is what puts the Moon Lord raid on the board. Carry one to a Summoning Altar and offer it there — the seal is spent on the offering whether or not the fight goes your way, so every attempt is another 100 Hallowed Bar out of your stock. Bank several before the first pull rather than crafting one at a time between wipes.

The recipe does not come out of the Technology tree. You need Celestial Sigil Schematic sitting in your inventory, and while it is there the sigil can be built at a Primitive Workbench — the cheapest bench in the game handles a 10,000-work craft, so the bottleneck is Hallowed Bar and Handiwork throughput, not the workshop.

Clearing the standard raid is what unlocks the harder tier: the Moon Lord pays out Celestial Sigil [Master], the master-grade seal, and that version has no recipe at all. It cannot be crafted, bought or farmed from anything else, so the only route to the upgraded fight is winning the normal one first, and each master attempt costs a run of the standard raid to replace.

Schematics That Unlock Celestial Sigil

Celestial Sigil is not learned from the Technology tree — you need a schematic for it. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.

Fastest route. The top-tier Celestial Sigil schematic is worth hunting directly — chests in the Yakushima is its best source, at roughly 1 containers a copy. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.
