Where to Find Univolt Cryst Saddle

Univolt Cryst Saddle is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.

Using Univolt Cryst Saddle Well

Frigid Deity is a buff on you, not on the Pal, and it is live only while you are actually in the saddle. Mounted, your own attacks are converted to the Ice element and your Ranged Attack climbs by 5%, then 7%, 10%, 14% and 20% as the Pal's partner skill rank rises with condensing — so an uncondensed Univolt Cryst hands you a twentieth of what a fully condensed one does on the damage half. The percentage is tied to Ranged Attack alone: rifles, handguns and bows collect it, a melee weapon collects nothing but the element swap.

The element swap is the half worth planning around, because it re-points your gun rather than boosting it. Ice beats Dragon, so this is the saddle to have on when you ride into a dragon fight with a rifle; against anything Fire the conversion works against you, and you are better off dismounting or bringing a different mount entirely. Nothing about the swap touches Univolt Cryst's own moves — those were already Ice.

Pyrin's saddle runs the identical ladder — same 5 / 7 / 10 / 14 / 20 on Ranged Attack, same mounted element conversion — and it sits at Technology level 29 rather than 64, on a mount that is genuinely quicker (850 run and 1300 ride sprint against Univolt Cryst's 720 and 1100). So the case for building this one is the Ice typing and nothing else. If you want the mounted gunner playstyle in general, Pyrin gets you there thirty-five levels earlier.

It is not an upgrade over the plain Univolt Saddle, and holding both is reasonable. Univolt and Univolt Cryst ride at exactly the same numbers — 720 run, 1100 ride sprint, 425 transport — so nothing here buys you speed. The partner skills point in opposite directions too: Univolt's Swift Deity feeds the whole party 25% up to 40% extra Electric weak-point damage from the bench, no riding needed, while Frigid Deity pays out only under you and only to you.

The Coralum Ingots are the real gate, not the saddle. They are their own Technology unlock at level 62 and refine at a Gigantic Furnace, off Coralum Ore that only comes up from the seabed — oil rig crates, sea base camps, wreck salvage and the harder expeditions. Line that up before you spend the 4 points at 64, or the recipe will sit unbuildable. The ten Ice Organs are the easy part: every Univolt Cryst you kill while hunting one to catch drops one, and a single Kingpaca Cryst gives 3 to 6.

Univolt Cryst SaddleUnivolt Cryst's Gear

Univolt Cryst Saddle is Univolt Cryst's own gear — no other Pal can equip it, and Univolt Cryst cannot be ridden or put to work in its geared role until you have this in your inventory.

Equipping it turns on Univolt Cryst's partner skill, Frigid Deity.

Univolt Cryst is Ice, which is what decides where it is worth taking — the gear does not change its typing, only what you can do with it.
