Where to Find Chillet Saddle
Chillet Saddle is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.
Using Chillet Saddle Well
The saddle is worth more than transport: while you are on Chillet's back its partner skill retags your damage as Dragon element and adds a ranged-attack bonus to you, the rider. The bonus follows the Pal's partner-skill rank — 5% at rank 1, then 7%, 10%, 14%, and 20% at rank 5 — so a Chillet you have poured Pal Souls into is a straight gun buff, not just a way to cross the map.
Craft it once and you are done. The ride is gated on simply owning this item, not on equipping it to a specific Pal, so one copy unlocks every Chillet in your box including the Alpha, and it is never consumed. Chillet Ignis is a separate tribe and will not accept it — that one needs Chillet Ignis Saddle.
The recipe opens at Technology level 11 and costs 2 technology points, which makes it one of the cheapest early mounts to reach. Grab it before the mid-game Dragon fights: the element retag applies at any partner-skill rank, so even an untrained Chillet turns your rifle into a Dragon-typed weapon the moment you climb on.
Chillet Saddle — Chillet's Gear
Chillet Saddle is Chillet's own gear — no other Pal can equip it, and Chillet cannot be ridden or put to work in its geared role until you have this in your inventory.
Equipping it turns on Chillet's partner skill, Wriggling Weasel.
Chillet is Ice / Dragon, which is what decides where it is worth taking — the gear does not change its typing, only what you can do with it.
