Where to Find Fire Arrow Crossbow

Fire Arrow Crossbow is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.

Two routes normally hand you a weapon in Palworld — the tech tree or a schematic out of world loot — and the fire crossbow is on neither. Research only ever unlocks the plain Crossbow, at level 13; no elemental variant has a technology entry at all. And the paper for this one, filed as Fire Arrow Crossbow Schematic 4 (Fire Arrow Crossbow Schematic 4), carries no chest, supply-drop, boss or oil-rig row in our loot tables, nor does the rung below it (Fire Arrow Crossbow Schematic 3). The plain line does: Crossbow Schematic 4 sits in Grasslands supply drops at 0.16% and in grade 3 Grasslands and grade 4 Forest chests. Farm caverns for the fire schematic and you are working a table it does not appear on.

Using Fire Arrow Crossbow Well

Five rungs share the Fire Arrow Crossbow name and only rarity tells them apart: 280 attack / 300 durability on Fire Arrow Crossbow, then 364/800, 406/1000, 448/1200 (Fire Arrow Crossbow), and 490/1400 at this top rung. Damage adds a flat 42 a step, so the legendary frame hits 1.75x the base — but durability goes up more than four-fold, which is the part you feel. Two other numbers worth knowing: the fire variants are valued at 1 gold each, against 9,910 for the legendary plain Crossbow, so there is no merchant angle here; and all five weigh 13, meaning the upgrade costs you nothing in carry space.

The plain Crossbow is not stuck with plain arrows. Its weapon blueprint lists three loadable rounds — Arrow, Fire Arrow and Poison Arrow — and merely defaults to the plain one, so swapping ammo is all it takes to put fire bolts downrange from the crossbow you can actually research at level 13. The fire frame goes the other way: its round list is emptied out and pinned to Fire Arrow alone, which is why it will not fire without them. Set against a line that has no tech entry and no schematic anywhere in loot, that is the practical answer for anyone hunting this weapon — build the plain crossbow ladder, keep fire arrows in the bag, and you cover poison and standard bolts on the same frame for free.

The magazine never grows past 1 anywhere on the ladder, so the rhythm is one bolt, one reload, forever — this is a weapon for opening on a target from cover, not for trading shots. Every shot eats one Fire Arrow, which is the real supply line to keep stocked. Fire damage swings hard into Grass Pals and does nothing extra against anything already Fire-typed. Mind the burn when you are hunting rather than killing — the tick keeps chewing after the bolt lands, and a target you softened for the sphere can burn out from under you before the throw connects.
