There is nothing to farm for this one. The paper that would unlock it is filed as Poison Arrow Crossbow Schematic 4 (Poison Arrow Crossbow Schematic 4), and neither it nor the tier below it (Poison Arrow Crossbow Schematic 3) carries a single chest, supply-drop, boss or oil-rig entry in our loot tables — the elemental crossbow schematics are absent from world loot at every tier. If you are running caverns hoping a poison crossbow schematic falls out, you are farming a table it is not on.

Using Poison Arrow Crossbow Well

The crossbow line is five rungs and this is the top of it: 280 attack / 300 durability on the base Poison Arrow Crossbow, then 364/800, 406/1000, 448/1200 (Poison Arrow Crossbow) and 490/1400 here. Attack climbs 42 per rung — a flat, unexciting curve — but durability nearly triples between the base weapon and the second rung and then adds 200 a step. The reason to want the upgraded frames is repair frequency, not damage: this one absorbs more than four times the base weapon's shots before it needs the bench.

The bench time is the part of the ladder nobody quotes. The base Poison Arrow Crossbow is a 25,000-work craft; the schematic frames go 100,000, 200,000, 400,000 and 800,000 here — a doubling every rung, and thirty-two times the base weapon for this one. Materials are not what gates it. Load the assembly line with your best Handiwork Pals and expect the top frame to occupy them for a long shift, and do not queue it on a camp that is also feeding an ore run.

The material curve is lumpy, so check which schematic you actually hold before you plan a shopping trip. Only the base recipe wants Venom Gland — five of them — and every schematic frame above it drops the gland entirely, so the upgrades are not a reason to go farming Poison Pals. Schematic 1 and Schematic 2 (Poison Arrow Crossbow, Poison Arrow Crossbow) are pure camp stock: 62/62/18/3 and 75/75/22/4 of Wood, Stone, Ingot and Nail. The wall is Schematic 3 (Poison Arrow Crossbow), which is where Ancient Civilization Parts enters at one piece, and this top frame doubles that to two. If your parts drawer is thin, building the second or third rung costs you nothing you cannot mine.

Magazine stays at 1 the whole way up, so every rung of the ladder is still draw, fire, re-nock. Bolt cost per shot never changes either — one Poison Arrow — which makes the poison line's real running cost your Venom supply, not the crossbow. Against a Pal you intend to capture that is a double edge: the poison softens its resistance to the sphere, but the tick keeps working after the bolt lands, and at 490 per hit a wounded target can die to the residue while you are lining up the throw. Sphere early on anything you actually want alive.
