Herbil Headband
Armor · ArmorHead0★A headband cut to the form of a Herbil.
Herbil Headband is an early head piece: 178th of 202 by defense, so treat it as a stepping stone, at 20 against the 650 of Ancient Helm.
Wearing it also carries the effect Grass Damage Reduction Lv. 1, which matters more than the raw numbers in the biomes that punish you for the wrong outfit.
It feeds no other recipe, which makes it a terminal item: craft what you will actually carry and stop there.
Details
It does not stack, so every spare copy costs an inventory slot.

Using Herbil Headband Well
Grass Damage Reduction Lv. 1 is worth 15% off incoming Grass damage in the passive table, and it runs permanently while the headband is on your head — no trigger, no cooldown, no requirement that the attacker be a Pal. It applies to any Grass-typed hit, whether it lands from a wild Pal, a raid or a tower boss.
Stat for stat this is the tier-1 Gumoss Cap and Long-Eared Headband wearing a different mesh: 20 defense, 60 HP, the same Leaf resist. The difference is upstream — those two have a workbench upgrade ladder that ends at 80 defense and 240 HP, and the bounty headband has no upgrade tier at all. Spend the 5 tokens if you want the look; do not spend them expecting a defensive step up.
The Grass resist is the cheapest one in the game to obtain, but it is also the weakest. If you are actually building for a Grass fight, the Ring of Grass Resistance line (Ring of Grass Resistance) carries Lv. 3 in an accessory slot, which leaves your head slot free for real defense numbers. The headband only makes sense as the resist source when you have nothing else.
The headband is modelled on Herbil, which is why it carries a Grass resist rather than the neutral stat line most cosmetic headgear ships with — the bounty headbands inherit the element of the Pal they imitate.
What Herbil Headband Does
Herbil Headband grants Grass Damage Reduction Lv. 1: Element Resist Leaf +15.
Alternatives and Upgrades
Gumoss Cap matches it exactly at 20 defense — those two differ in what they resist and what they weigh, not in raw defense, so picking between them is a swap rather than an upgrade. The next real step is Feathered Hair Band at 21; below it is Icelyn Hat at 20.
