Using Low Grade Medical Supplies Well
The recipe runs on the Medieval Medicine Workbench, whose technology unlocks at level 12 — that bench is the earliest point at which you can make your own status cures instead of buying them.
Every later medicine station keeps the recipe, so the Electric Medicine Workbench (level 43), Advanced Medicine Workbench (level 61) and Ancient Clinic (level 73) all still turn out Low Grade Medical Supplies — there is no reason to hold on to the level 12 bench once you have upgraded.
