Where to Find Legendary Sphere
Legendary Sphere turns up in supply drops — best odds are the Sakurajima drops at 50%, 2–5 per crate, with 1 other region carrying it as well.
It also shows up as world loot — field drops in the Snowfields, field drops in the Sakurajima and junk hauls while fishing in the Sakurajima, and 7 more pools besides, usually 1–3 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.
Sending a team on the Astral Frost Cavern and Celestial Sakura Cavern expeditions brings some back without you leaving base.
Chests inside Cherry Blossom Cave can hold it as well.
