Diamond
Material · MaterialJewelry3★An uncommon gemstone with a brilliant shine. Merchants pay well for it.
Details
It stacks up to 9,999. At 50,000 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.
Where to Find Diamond
7 Pals drop Diamond when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.
If you would rather just buy it, the cheapest seller is Desert Shop at 50,000 Gold, and 3 other shops stock it too.
It also shows up as world loot — chests in the Snowfields, chests in the Sakurajima and chests in the Feybreak, and 8 more pools besides, usually 1–2 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.
Sending a team on the PAL Genetic Research Laboratory expedition brings some back without you leaving base.
None of the pals on the drop list spawn in the wild, so hunting ordinary packs will never produce a Diamond — the drop route is a travel circuit between fixed one-off bosses. Our map pins put them at roughly (-355, 509) for the level 60 Frostallion, (442, 678) for the level 60 Paladius, (141, 651) for the level 60 Neptilius, (691, 647) for the level 65 Frostallion Noct, and (-551, -1331) for the level 70 Jetragon. The first four hand over a Diamond every kill; Jetragon only pays out on about a third of them.
Panthalus has no pin anywhere on the map. It shows up only when you play the Echoing Flute, which is assembled from four flute fragments, and it is a guaranteed Diamond on defeat — the one dropper you can trigger on demand instead of flying to.

Using Diamond Well
Nothing in the tech tree, no workbench recipe and no structure takes Diamond as a material, so there is no reason to stockpile it past what you can carry to a merchant. The 50,000 gold figure is a shop's asking price for one, not what a trader hands you for yours, so buying it back is never worth it.
Raid Boss Rewards
Diamond comes out of the Yakushima raid boss raid (level 80), guaranteed on every successful clear.
| Raid boss | Level | Payout |
|---|---|---|
