Where to Find Azurmane Saddle
Azurmane Saddle is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.
Using Azurmane Saddle Well
Plasma Dash is not a passive buff — it is a ride action, and this saddle is the item the game checks for before it will let Azurmane use it. Crafting the saddle is what puts Air Dash on the mount, and the dash has two hidden ladders that move with the Pal's condense rank. Dash speed runs 4.0x at rank 1, then 4.2, 4.4, 4.6 and 5.0 at rank 5. The cooldown between dashes runs 4.0 seconds at rank 1, then 3.4, 2.6, 1.8 and 0.62 seconds. In game you never see either number: the tooltip grades the whole thing S, M, L or XL and prints nothing at all at rank 1.
Three other Pals share the same short-dash ride action and none of them scale the way Azurmane does. Polapup and Polapup Terra get a dash that only reaches further with rank — 250 up to 1250, and 300 up to 1300 — with no cooldown reduction at all. Neptilius gets the cooldown cut, 3.6 seconds down to 1.0, and no speed gain. Azurmane is the only mount in the game whose dash gets both faster and more frequent as you condense it.
Read those two ladders against each other before you decide whether condensing is worth the Azurmane copies. Top dash speed only improves 25% from rank 1 to rank 5, but the wait between dashes falls to roughly a sixth of what it started at — 0.62 seconds is short enough that the next dash is back before you have finished the last one, so a rank 5 Azurmane crosses ground in a near-continuous chain of bursts while a rank 1 spends most of a run on plain sprint. If you built this saddle to travel, the condense ranks are the purchase; if you built it to fight from, they barely matter.
On flat sprint alone this is not the reason to spend the level 58 unlock. Azurmane's 1,260 ride sprint ties Gildane, which you could already ride at 54, and Pyrin has been faster at 1,300 since level 29 — Necromus and Paladius then leave all of them behind at 1,900 and 1,800 three levels later. What the saddle buys at 58 is the burst plus the endurance to use it: 220 stamina is the deepest tank of that group, against Gildane's 200 and 100 for both Pyrins, so Azurmane is the one that can keep dashing rather than the one with the highest number on the sprint line.
Azurmane Saddle — Azurmane's Gear
Azurmane Saddle is Azurmane's own gear — no other Pal can equip it, and Azurmane cannot be ridden or put to work in its geared role until you have this in your inventory.
Equipping it turns on Azurmane's partner skill, Plasma Dash.
Azurmane is Electric, which is what decides where it is worth taking — the gear does not change its typing, only what you can do with it.
