Where to Find Faleris Aqua Saddle
Faleris Aqua Saddle is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.
Using Faleris Aqua Saddle Well
Flight is the obvious half of what this switches on; the loot multiplier is the half the tooltip buries. Tidal Predator makes Fire Pals cough up more when they die — 40% more at condense rank 1, then 50%, 60%, 70% and 80% at rank 5 — and the game's own data ties the whole skill to this saddle sitting in your inventory, so an ungeared Faleris Aqua gives you nothing. The condition is party membership, not deployment: Faleris Aqua can sit in a slot doing nothing while some other Pal fights, and the bonus still counts. It also fires whether you landed the kill yourself or your deployed Pal did, so there is no wrong way to farm with it. One thing that does not work: a second Faleris Aqua in the same party. The skill is flagged as non-stacking, and the game says so outright, so the fifth slot is better spent on a fighter.
43 Fire Pals exist to farm, and the material worth farming them for is Flame Organ — 79 separate recipes call for it, which makes it one of the deepest sinks in the game. Blazamut is the cleanest target because its Flame Organ drop is a flat 10 every kill with no range to gamble on, and a fully condensed Faleris Aqua in the party turns that into 18. Ragnahawk at 5 to 7 and Suzaku at 5 to 10 are the faster kills if you would rather do laps than fight something that hits back. The pairing is not an accident either: Faleris Aqua is Water, so the mount that inflates Fire loot is also the one that shreds the Pals dropping it. Bring it as your rider and your damage and your yield come from the same slot.
Weigh it against the plain Faleris Saddle before you commit, because the two are not the upgrade-and-original pair they look like. Both unlock at Technology level 60, this one for 4 points against 3. Both share 30 Leather and 5 Hexolite. Everything else doubles or worse: 20 High Quality Cloth against 10, 75 Paldium Fragment against 30, and 30 Aquatic Pal Fluids in place of 25 Flame Organ. The number that actually stings is the bench time — 150,000 work against 30,000, five times as long, and enough to put this in the 19 most expensive pieces of Pal gear out of 139. What you get for it is not a better mount: both birds fly at the same 1400 sprint on the same 230 stamina. You are paying for which element the loot bonus reads. This one counts Fire kills, the Fire saddle counts Ice kills, and with 43 Fire Pals against 38 Ice the Aqua form has the slightly wider net. Keep both and swap by what you are farming.
Faleris Aqua Saddle — Faleris Aqua's Gear
Faleris Aqua Saddle is Faleris Aqua's own gear — no other Pal can equip it, and Faleris Aqua cannot be ridden or put to work in its geared role until you have this in your inventory.
Equipping it turns on Faleris Aqua's partner skill, Tidal Predator.
Faleris Aqua is Water, which is what decides where it is worth taking — the gear does not change its typing, only what you can do with it.
