Where to Find Dazemu Saddle

Dazemu Saddle is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.

Using Dazemu Saddle Well

The schematic sits at Technology level 28 and costs 2 points, so it is reachable well before the mid-game saddles. Build it at a Pal Gear Workbench once unlocked — the 15 Ingot and 20 Paldium Fragment are the only parts that need a furnace or a node run, and one copy covers every Dazemu you own, since the gear is a Key Item that never leaves your bag.

Crafting the saddle is what switches Sand Sprint on: until the item exists, Dazemu's partner skill is dead weight no matter how high the Pal is levelled. The bonus climbs by partner-skill rank — 50%, 62%, 74%, 86%, then 100% extra movement speed — and it only pays out while you are riding across sand, so the doubled speed at rank 5 is a desert-and-beach number, not a general travel buff.

Levelling the Pal does nothing for that ladder — the five steps are its condenser rank, ☆0 through ☆4, so a level 50 Dazemu sitting at ☆0 still rides on the 50% floor. Either feed duplicates through a Pal Condenser or buy the ranks outright with fruit: Starfruit ☆1 through Starfruit ☆4 each cover one specific step, and Ripe Starfruit adds a rank from wherever the Pal already is. Spending them here pays better than on most mounts, because the reward is another 50 points of movement multiplier on top of an already high 900 run rather than the usual small stat bump.

Underneath the skill, Dazemu runs 900 and sprints 1,200 on 100 stamina, which puts it 38th of the 115 rideable Pals. That 900 base run is the highest in its sprint bracket — it out-cruises Blazehowl and Shadowbeak at the same top speed — but the 100 stamina is the lowest of that group, so it burns through a sprint faster than anything it shares a rank with. Ride it in sand for the multiplier and let the bar refill between dashes rather than holding sprint across open ground.

If you already have Surfent Saddle built, Dazemu is not a straight upgrade: Surfent unlocks at Technology level 16 and sprints 1,440 with the same 900 run, so off sand it stays the faster ride for less than half the tech investment. Dazemu earns its 2 points in the desert, where the Sand Sprint multiplier puts it past everything available at that level, and as a Ground Pal it is the one you want down there anyway.

Dazemu SaddleDazemu's Gear

Dazemu Saddle is Dazemu's own gear — no other Pal can equip it, and Dazemu cannot be ridden or put to work in its geared role until you have this in your inventory.

Equipping it turns on Dazemu's partner skill, Sand Sprint.

Dazemu is Ground, which is what decides where it is worth taking — the gear does not change its typing, only what you can do with it.
