How to Get Dazemu
Dazemu is one of the Pals you can simply buy: a Pal merchant sells it at level 40–45, which skips the hunt when you want one at a known level. Show the merchants on the map →
Dazemu is Ground, so a Grass attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Dazemu spawn between level 31 and 49. The higher end resists spheres noticeably harder, so it is worth hunting the low-level spawns for your first catch and saving the high ones for a condenser stack.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it dead average, which makes the back-strike bonus worth lining up before you throw.
Dazemu is one of the eight pals in the desert merchant's stock pool at Duneshelter, so you can buy one rather than hunt one. The shelf only shows five of the eight on any given visit, so a blank shelf means reroll it by leaving and returning, not that the merchant never sells one. Bought stock arrives at level 40-45, near the ceiling of the 31-49 wild band, which matters more here than for most purchases: you want this pal for the mount, and a level 40 mount is ready to ride the moment you pay for it.
GrassPlaying Dazemu Well
You cannot ride Dazemu until the Dazemu Saddle is built, and that is a Technology unlock at level 28 costing 20 Leather, 30 Fiber, 15 Copper Ingot and 20 Paldium Fragment. Copper Ingot, not the plain Ingot the rest of the saddle tier asks for — check your furnace output before you commit the points. Level 28 lands well below the wild level band, so the saddle can be waiting before you ever catch one.
The 405 spawn points are not one band. They fall into two clusters a long way apart on the map, and the day list and the night list are the same size, so there is no window to wait for and no reason to plan a night trip — pick the cluster nearer your base and go whenever.
Sakurajima nests are the only nest pool that hatches Dazemu, at 4.42% for a normal and 0.13% for an alpha. No desert nest carries it, so hatching your way to one means farming eggs on the island specifically.
As a parent Dazemu is worth keeping in the pen even after you have your mount. Pairing it with Kingpaca produces another Dazemu, which means you can print more of them off a single specimen instead of needing a breeding pair. It also makes Herbil with either Lamball or Vixy, and Dumud with Cawgnito.

Where to Find Dazemu
Dazemu spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Duneshelter (23% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Sakurajima - Northern Rock Field and Deep Sand Dunes. They come in groups of up to 4, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Dungeons Dazemu Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Dazemu turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
the boss chamber fight is level 47–49, and ordinary cavern spawns run level 40–45.
Best Dazemu Build
Dazemu shines as a mount. The passives below push that strength as hard as possible — hunt them through catches, breeding or implants.
