FireNeeds Arsox Saddle equipped — without that gear the skill does nothing. It unlocks at Technology level 15 for 1 point, so a Pal caught early can sit unusable for a while.
Carnivorous Pals hunted them without respite in ancient times, and the sheer absurd fury in their cries turned into a raging inferno. That fire has carried down to the present.

How to Get Arsox
Arsox is one of the Pals you can simply buy: a Pal merchant sells it at level 30–35, which skips the hunt when you want one at a known level. Show the merchants on the map →
Arsox is Fire, so a Water attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Arsox spawn between level 14 and 39. Higher-level ones are markedly harder to hold — take a low one first and come back for the rest when you are stacking a condenser.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it exactly average, so weaken it properly and throw from behind for the back-strike bonus.
You do not have to hunt one down at all. The Volcano 00 Pal Merchant keeps Arsox in stock, and grassland egg nests hatch it at a 3.97% rate (0.40% for an Alpha) from the Grasslands G4 pool - the egg route hands you a level 1 Arsox you can raise on your own passives instead of a level 14-39 wild adult.
WaterPlaying Arsox Well
Warm Body pays out from the party slot, so a benched Arsox still carries you through the cold nights before Cold Resistant Pelt armor. The cold resistance is flat at every Partner Skill rank - only the riding speed bonus climbs, from 10% up to 20% - so a freshly caught one already gives you the full temperature effect and condensing it is purely a mount upgrade. Riding needs the Arsox Saddle, unlocked in the technology tree at level 15.
The level 15 Alpha stands out in the open on the central island grassland at roughly (-116, 491), not behind a dungeon door. That makes it a far steadier Ancient Civilization Parts run than the Ravine Grotto boss, which you only meet when the cavern rolls it - kill it, fast travel away, come back on the normal Alpha respawn timer.
Arsox is worth keeping as a breeding parent, not just a breeding result: pair it with Vixy for Bristla, with Tombat for Chillet, or with Robinquill for Dumud.

Arsox Boss Rewards
Beating the boss Arsox once yields the Arsox Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.
The fight also unlocks Arsox Saddle, the gear that lets you ride or deploy Arsox properly.
Wild Arsox Level Range
Wild Arsox roam at level 14–39 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.
Where to Find Arsox
Arsox spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Foot of the Volcano (50% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Mossanda Inner Coast and Heatwave Gate. They come in groups of up to 2, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Dungeons Arsox Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Arsox turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
