How to Get Croajiro Noct
Croajiro Noct can be fished up rather than fought — 6 wild spots of the small kind hold it, at level 40–48. The alpha turns up on the bigger spots, so a rod can hand you one without a fight. Once you have a Fishing Pond at base it shows up there too — 7.3% per catch in the large pool, which is the hands-off way to farm one.
Croajiro Noct is Water / Dark, so a Dragon or Electric attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Croajiro Noct spawn between level 61 and 62. A level 62 one resists far more than a level 61; catch cheap first, then farm the high spawns for condensing.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it exactly average, so weaken it properly and throw from behind for the back-strike bonus.
You do not have to hunt one down at night. It hatches from Large Damp Eggs, and Feybreak's grade-1 nests are the best pool for it at 3.44% — the largest nest set in the game. That pool rolls no alphas at all, so eggs from it are the cheap way to farm ordinary ones for condensing while your alpha luck goes elsewhere.

Shadow Stance is the reason to keep one, and it is a party-slot skill rather than a fighting one. While Croajiro Noct rides along in the party it raises Dark-element weak point damage by 25% at base, rising to 27%, 30%, 34% and 40% across the four condense ranks — and the buff lands on you and on your other party Pals, not just on itself. A four-star one sitting in slot five makes every Dark attacker you own hit harder against the things they were already good against.
Its second trick is mobility. Standing on a deployed Croajiro Noct launches you straight up, and the launch height scales with condense rank on the same five-step curve as the damage buff — so the same fully condensed one you keep for the Dark bonus is also the strongest boost pad you can carry. Handy for reaching cliff ledges and nest spots on Feybreak without burning a glider approach.
The Dark variant trades away the base Croajiro's partner skill entirely. Ordinary Croajiro boosts the player's own attack; the Noct form drops that and gives the Dark weak point bonus to the whole party instead. Both keep the launch-pad jump, so the choice between them is personal damage versus team damage.
