How to Get Gumoss
Gumoss is Grass / Ground, so a Fire or Grass attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Gumoss spawn between level 2 and 14. That top end fights the sphere much harder, so start low and leave the tougher ones until you need duplicates.
Its capture rate is 1.3, which makes it among the softer catches: knock it into the red and even a basic sphere tends to hold.
FireGrassPlaying Gumoss Well
That rod is locked behind the Beginner Fishing Rod (Gumoss) Schematic, not the Technology tree. Your best odds are the boss stash at a Grasslands sea-base enemy camp (roughly 18%) or fishing in the Forest (1 in 5); fishing in the Grasslands, Desert or Mount Obsidian waters gives about 11%. Once learned, build it from 20 Paldium Fragment, 6 Aquatic Pal Fluids, 16 Ingot, 16 Fiber and 3 Coralum Ore. It hits for 25 like every rod but holds 180 durability against the 120 on the Beginner Fishing Rod (Chillet), so it is worth crafting the moment a schematic drops.
A lot of Gumoss searches are really about the Beginner Fishing Rod (Gumoss), which only borrows this Pal's name. Nothing in its recipe comes from Gumoss, so there is no need to catch or farm one to build it.
The flower-topped Gumoss has its own spawn table, separate from the regular one: just 24 points against 113, and 22 of them sit in Grassy Behemoth Hills. That makes the Hills the only place worth searching for it. Regular Gumoss also roam those same slopes, so check each one's head before you throw. It uses the same Grass/Ground typing and Paldeck #12 slot as the standard form.

Gumoss Boss Rewards
Beating the boss Gumoss once yields the Gumoss Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.
Wild Gumoss Level Range
Wild Gumoss roam at level 2–14 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.
Where to Find Gumoss
Gumoss spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Grassy Behemoth Hills (25.7% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Fort Ruins and Marsh Island Church Ruins. They come in groups of up to 3, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Dungeons Gumoss Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Gumoss turns up inside 2 caverns, and takes the boss chamber in 2 of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
the boss chamber fight is level 10–13, and ordinary cavern spawns run level 6–9.
