Needs Ghangler Saddle equipped — without that gear the skill does nothing. It unlocks at Technology level 31 for 3 points, so a Pal caught early can sit unusable for a while.

Its shining lure cuts through the dark, and wandering Pals pulled in by that light have no escape once it has them in sight. However far the journey, it keeps guiding them along until they get home safe.

Ghangler Stats by Level

What Ghangler actually reads at each level, from a worst-case individual (IV 0) to a perfect one (IV 100). These are the base numbers — condensing, souls and Trust raise them further.

How to Get Ghangler

Ghangler can be fished up rather than fought — 12 wild spots of the small kind hold it, at level 30–69. The alpha turns up on the bigger spots, so a rod can hand you one without a fight. Once you have a Fishing Pond at base it shows up there too — 6.4% per catch in the large pool, which is the hands-off way to farm one.

Ghangler is Dark / Water, so a Dragon or Electric attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.

Wild Ghangler spawn between level 30 and 58. A level 58 one resists far more than a level 30; catch cheap first, then farm the high spawns for condensing.

Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it middle of the road: take the health bar down first and aim for its back.

There is a second route in that skips the hunt entirely: it sits in the Feybreak Grade 1 nest pool at 3.44% per egg, one of 37 species sharing that pool across 496 nests — the largest single nest field in the game, so the sample size is there even at that rate. No alpha roll is attached to those eggs, meaning a hatched one is always the ordinary form. Running a Feybreak nest circuit and hatching in bulk is steadier than chasing a level 30-58 wild spawn you have to out-damage without killing.

Playing Ghangler Well

As a water mount it is the one to build in the 30s. Its saddle sits at technology level 31, while Jormuntide's is 40 and Neptilius' is 64, so for a long stretch of the mid game nothing faster is legally craftable. Surfent unlocks far earlier and sprints slightly quicker (1440 against 1350), but it cruises at 900 on a 100-point stamina pool; this one cruises at 1200 with 320 stamina, which is the difference between a crossing done in one breath and one done in four. Only Neptilius beats it outright on both numbers. Master of Darkness stacks on top of that — up to 25% movement speed at rank 5, counting every other Dark or Water Pal in the party, so a squad built to match the typing makes the mount faster than the raw figures suggest.

The nocturnal flag is doing real work here, unlike on most Pals carrying it. Its day table lists 82 points against 316 after dark — close to four times the coverage — so a stretch of coast that looks empty at noon can be dense at night. Plan the sweep for the night half of the cycle rather than the convenient one. Temperament is aggressive, so every point you reach is an opening fight, not a free approach.

Wild Ghangler Level Range

Wild Ghangler roam at level 30–58 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.

Where to Find Ghangler

Ghangler spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.

Most of them are around Secluded Cemetery (17.1% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Phantom Isle and Sakurajima - Mushroom Wetlands. They come in groups of up to 5, so plan sphere stock for more than one.

Ghangler in Base Raids

Ghangler shows up in 3 raid groups that attack your base, at level 10–15 around the Yamishima. Worth knowing before you settle there — build your defences around what actually turns up.

Dungeons Ghangler Appears In

Besides its wild habitat, Ghangler turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.

the boss chamber fight is level 47–49, and ordinary cavern spawns run level 32–45.
