Needs Starryon Saddle equipped — without that gear the skill does nothing. It unlocks at Technology level 57 for 4 points, so a Pal caught early can sit unusable for a while.

Its flowing mane is its pride, and one split end leaves it too mortified to concentrate on running. Static frizzes that hair, so it steers clear of Azurmane entirely.

How to Get Starryon

Starryon is Dark, so a Dragon attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.

Wild Starryon spawn between level 42 and 80. That top end fights the sphere much harder, so start low and leave the tougher ones until you need duplicates.

Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it dead average, which makes the back-strike bonus worth lining up before you throw.

There is a second route that skips the night window entirely. Starryon hatches from Large Dark Eggs, and the nests that hold them sit at the northeastern and southwestern ends of Feybreak. A cleared nest comes back after roughly three hours of world time, so the practical loop is to fly the two ends of the island, empty both, and return once the timer has rolled - it stacks with anything else you are farming out there instead of costing a dedicated trip. The egg gives you a level 1 Starryon to raise rather than a wild catch, which matters if you want it as a mount rather than a Paldeck entry.

Playing Starryon Well

Night Dancer only pays out after sunset, which lines up exactly with when the Pal is catchable - the same trip that gets you one is the trip where it is at its fastest. Its ground numbers are already strong before the bonus (run 900, sprint 1250, jump boosted while mounted), so it stays usable at noon; it simply is not the mount you build a daylight route around when the bonus is the entire argument for it over an equally quick ground option. Unlock the saddle at Tech level 57 and note the Dark Fragment cost - the Pal itself drops Dark Fragment, so a couple of alpha runs cover the recipe on the way to being able to ride one.

Do not sweep its range in daylight. The spawn table carries a single daytime point against 178 night ones, so a daytime trip through Feybreak is very close to a guaranteed blank - the herd only exists after dark. The level 63 alpha is the exception worth walking to: it holds a fixed post in Feybreak's southeast, and unlike the wild herd it is there whenever you arrive. Everything about it is aggressive on sight at level 42-80, so a night sweep means being jumped repeatedly rather than picking targets; bring the spheres and the healing you would take to a boss, not the ones you take on a catching run.

Starryon Boss Rewards

Beating the boss Starryon once yields the Starryon Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.

The fight also unlocks Starryon Saddle, the gear that lets you ride or deploy Starryon properly.

Wild Starryon Level Range

Wild Starryon roam at level 42–80 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.

Where to Find Starryon

Starryon spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.

Most of them are around Loess Plains (41.6% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Wildlands Floodgate and Crystallized Great Tree. They come in groups of up to 3, so plan sphere stock for more than one.

Starryon in Base Raids

Starryon shows up in 2 raid groups that attack your base, at level 35–39 around the Yamishima. Worth knowing before you settle there — build your defences around what actually turns up.

Dungeons Starryon Appears In

Besides its wild habitat, Starryon turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.

the boss chamber fight is level 56–58, and ordinary cavern spawns run level 42–54.

Best Starryon Build

Starryon shines as a mount. The passives listed here sharpen that role — catch for them, breed for them, or implant them.
