Where to Find Glistening Ancient Relic

143 Pals drop Glistening Ancient Relic when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.

It also shows up as world loot — junk hauls while fishing in the World Tree, treasure chests in the World Tree and fishing the treasure spots in the World Tree, and 5 more pools besides, usually 1–3 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.

Sending a team on the World Tree Subterrenean City Ruins and The World Tree's Forbidden Area expeditions brings some back without you leaving base.

Using Glistening Ancient Relic Well

The relic is not an ingredient in any recipe — the only thing it does is feed the Ancient Relic Recycler, which unlocks at Technology 74 for 3 points and is built from 50 Paloxite Ingot, 50 Mythical Wood, 30 Ancient Civilization Parts and 20 Ancient Civilization Core. Assign any Pal with Handiwork to it; the station asks for rank 1, so a level-one Handiwork Pal runs it as well as a four-star one and there is no reason to tie up a good crafter. Every relic put through it returns 9–11 Mythical Wood and 9–11 Paloxite with no roll involved, so a stack of 50 hands back roughly what the machine cost to build in those two materials alone.

On top of the guaranteed pair, one relic rolls five separate pools. Ancient Civilization Core comes up 41.472% of the time in a batch of 5–10, which averages a little over 3 cores per relic and is the single reason to keep the machine fed. Radiant Gems get five independent rolls at 20.736%, 10.368%, 5.184%, 2.592% and 1.296%, each picking one of the nine elements evenly — about a 35% chance of at least one gem per relic, but only one gem of a named element every 22 relics or so. A schematic drops 20% of the time, weighted heavily toward the first grade: within that slot the seven Schematic 1s share 80%, Schematic 2s 16%, Schematic 3s 3% and Schematic 4s 1%, which puts a specific Legendary ancient schematic around one in 3,500 relics. Recycle for cores and gems; treat the rest as noise.

Two implant pools fire as well, and they are where the relic earns its rarity. A 13% slot draws evenly from sixteen Disposable Implants — the World Tree set plus the tier-3 attack, defence, work speed, stomach, sanity, movement, stamina, swim and Vampire versions — at 0.8125% each. A second slot fires 19.44% of the time across five: Disposable Implant: Immortality, Idiosyncratic, Babysitter, Heavily Armored and Skymarcher, 3.888% each, so a named mutation implant averages one per 26 relics. Counting both, roughly three relics in ten pay out an implant.

That second implant pool is switched off on every lower relic, which is what should govern how you sort them. Decayed, Dormant, Gorgeous and Glowing Ancient Relic all feed the same machine and all roll a flat 0% on the mutation slot; Glistening is the only grade that can produce those five implants at all. The schematic slot tells the same story — 0.13% on Decayed, 0.59%, 2.0%, 5.33%, then 20% here — as does the core roll, 20% up to 41.472%. Burn the lower four freely for wood, ore and cores, and hold Glistening relics for the specific implant you want rather than emptying them into the hopper the moment they arrive.

One pool is a trap. The three low-odds slots at 5.184%, 2.592% and 1.296% share a 90-entry table holding skill fruits, Ancient Technical Manuals, the large Lotus boosters, Rankup items, Pal Gender Reverse and every work suitability ticket. Combined, they fire on under one relic in ten, and the individual entries inside are then split ninety ways — a specific work suitability ticket works out near one per 1,100 relics, a named skill fruit far worse than that. Nothing in that table is worth farming the recycler for; it is a bonus you notice, not a plan.
