Where to Find Gorgeous Ancient Relic
143 Pals drop Gorgeous Ancient Relic when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.
It also shows up as world loot — junk hauls while fishing in the World Tree, treasure chests in the World Tree and fishing the treasure spots in the World Tree, and 5 more pools besides, usually 1–3 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.
Sending a team on the World Tree Subterrenean City Ruins and The World Tree's Forbidden Area expeditions brings some back without you leaving base.

Using Gorgeous Ancient Relic Well
The only thing to do with one is feed it to the Ancient Relic Recycler, and every relic grade runs its own payout table — so the numbers below are the Gorgeous ones, not the generic ones. Two slots never miss: 5 to 7 Mythical Wood and 5 to 7 Paloxite per relic, flat 100% each. That is the middle of the ladder — a Decayed relic pays 1 to 3 of each, a Glistening Ancient Relic pays 9 to 11. The bonus roll worth planning around is Ancient Civilization Core at 28.8% for a stack of 5 to 10, which works out to a little over two cores per relic on average, so a stack of ten Gorgeous relics is roughly 60 wood, 60 Paloxite and 20-odd cores.
Radiant Gems come off five separate rolls, not one: 14.4%, 7.2%, 3.6%, 1.8% and 0.9%, each resolved independently, so a single relic can hand back more than one. Put together, about a quarter of Gorgeous relics drop at least one gem. What you cannot do is aim — every roll that fires picks evenly across all nine elements, which puts a gem of one specific element at roughly one per 32 relics. If you need Dragon or Ice gems specifically, recycling is a slow way to get there and you should treat whatever arrives as a bonus on top of the wood and Paloxite.
Do not farm this grade hoping for endgame gear. The schematic slot fires on just 2% of Gorgeous relics, and four fifths of that is the Uncommon tier — the Legendary versions of the Plasma Rifle, Beam Launcher, Drone Launcher, Beam Scatter and the three Ancient Armors are 1% of an already 2% slot, about one relic in five thousand. The same schematic table sits behind a Glistening Ancient Relic at a 20% slot chance, ten times as often. Disposable Implants are the better long shot here: 3.25% of relics roll one, spread evenly over sixteen kinds at 0.203% apiece. Recycle Gorgeous relics for the guaranteed materials and the cores, and hoard the top grade for the gear rolls.
