Where to Find Electric Radiant Gem
23 Pals drop Electric Radiant Gem when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.
It also shows up as world loot — recycling Decayed Ancient Relics, recycling Dormant Ancient Relics and recycling Gorgeous Ancient Relics, and 6 more pools besides, usually 1–3 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.
Sending a team on the World Tree Subterrenean City Ruins and The World Tree's Forbidden Area expeditions brings some back without you leaving base.

Using Electric Radiant Gem Well
The 50 gems are only half the bill for one Electric Awakening Crystal — the recipe also takes 10 World Tree Holy Water, and the craft itself is 30,000 work, the same order as a full ten-unit Cement batch. Holy Water is the pinch point, not the gems, because it is also drinkable: swallowing one keeps World Tree resource nodes from vanishing as you walk up to them, so every bottle you use while farming the tree is a bottle off your next crystal. Bank ten before you start counting gems.
Five Pals drop this at 100% in stacks of 10-20 — Univolt, Beakon, Grizzbolt, Azurmane and Fenglope Lux. At an average 15 a kill that is about four clears for the full 50. Every other Pal on the drop table caps at 3 even when the roll lands, so farming the small droppers means roughly 25 kills for the same crystal, and half of them only drop at 50%. Capture works as well as defeat, so spheres thrown at the big five pay in gems and a Paldex entry at once.
Ancient Relic recycling reads like a source but is not a farm. The best relic in the table, Glistening, returns a single gem 4.4% of the time and every other grade is worse, so a crystal's worth of gems is on the order of a thousand relics fed through the recycler. Treat recycled gems as a byproduct of relic runs you were making anyway; the Electric-sealed chests in the World Tree at 33.3% for 5-10 are worth more per stop than any relic pile.
