Neutral Radiant Gem
Material · MaterialMonster2★Accumulated World Tree energy inside a Pal's body forms this gem. Processing turns it into an item that releases a Pal's hidden power.
It is a component in one recipe, so keep a couple spare rather than a stockpile.

Where to Find Neutral Radiant Gem
13 Pals drop Neutral Radiant Gem when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.
It also shows up as world loot — recycling Decayed Ancient Relics, recycling Dormant Ancient Relics and recycling Gorgeous Ancient Relics, and 6 more pools besides, usually 1–3 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.
Sending a team on the World Tree Subterrenean City Ruins and The World Tree's Forbidden Area expeditions brings some back without you leaving base.
The World Tree pays out even when you are not fighting. Casting there returns gems on 5.9% of catches in stacks of 1-3, and the marked treasure spots add another 2.5% roll, so parking a fisher between chest routes trickles in gems with no combat and no relic cost. It is slow money, but it stacks with whatever else you are doing up the tree.

Using Neutral Radiant Gem Well
Fifty gems is only part of the bill for one Neutral Awakening Crystal — the recipe also wants 10 World Tree Holy Water and 30,000 work, so the craft ties up a bench about as long as a big Cement batch. Holy Water is the real bottleneck, because it doubles as a drink that stops World Tree resource nodes despawning as you approach them; every bottle you swallow while farming is a bottle off the next crystal. Bank ten before you bother counting gems.
Five Pals hand this over at 100% in stacks of 10-20 — Kingpaca, Eikthyrdeer, Gorirat, Fenglope and Celesdir. At roughly 15 a kill that is about four clears for a full 50. Everything else on the table tops out at 3 per roll and half of those only trigger 50% of the time, so chasing the small droppers turns the same crystal into 25-plus fights. Spheres count exactly as much as damage here, so catching the big five pays in gems and Paldex progress at once.
Ancient Relic recycling looks like a source and isn't a farm. The best grade, Glistening, returns one gem 4.4% of the time and every lower grade is worse, which puts a crystal's worth somewhere around a thousand relics fed through the machine. The Recycler is also a Technology 74 unlock costing 50 Paloxite Ingot, 50 Mythical Wood and 30 Ancient Civilization Parts, so it arrives long after you started wanting gems. Take recycled gems as a bonus on relic runs you were already doing, and get your volume from the Electric-sealed chests in the World Tree instead at 33.3% for 5-10 a pop.
