Water Radiant Gem
Material · MaterialMonster2★A gem that forms where World Tree energy builds up inside a Pal. Processed, it becomes an item that releases power Pals hold in reserve.
It is a component in one recipe, so keep a couple spare rather than a stockpile.

Where to Find Water Radiant Gem
10 Pals drop Water Radiant Gem when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.
It also shows up as world loot — recycling Decayed Ancient Relics, recycling Dormant Ancient Relics and recycling Gorgeous Ancient Relics, and 6 more pools besides, usually 1–3 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.
Sending a team on the World Tree Subterrenean City Ruins and The World Tree's Forbidden Area expeditions brings some back without you leaving base.

Using Water Radiant Gem Well
The single sink for these gems is Water Awakening Crystal, and the recipe is 50 gems plus 10 World Tree Holy Water for one crystal. Two things follow from that. First, the gem is not the only bottleneck — a stockpile of 300 gems is six crystals only if you also have 60 Holy Water, so farm both sides in step rather than grinding gems until the counter looks impressive. Second, the crystal it makes is element-locked: a Water Awakening Crystal awakens Water Pals and nothing else, exactly as each of the other eight radiant gems feeds its own element's crystal. There is no conversion between colours, so gems banked for a Water team are dead weight to a Dragon or Dark roster and the whole grind has to be repeated per element you intend to awaken.
Fifty gems per crystal reads as a wall until you split the drop table by tier. Azurobe, Suzaku Aqua and Faleris Aqua each hand over 10–20 at a guaranteed rate, so three to five of them covers a full crystal — that is one short World Tree circuit, not a grind. The Cryst-variant bosses pay 1–3 on the same guaranteed roll, which is roughly twenty-five clears for the same crystal, so they are a top-up on a run you were making anyway rather than a farm route. Everything else is noise by comparison: the recycler tables sit at a few percent per relic and the World Tree fishing and chest rolls are lower still, which makes them worth collecting in passing but never worth building a session around. Catching counts as well as killing — captures award the same drop entry — so a Pal Sphere thrown at an Azurobe pays the gems and banks the Pal.
