Dragon Radiant Gem

Material · MaterialMonster2

This gem takes shape as World Tree energy builds up within a Pal. Refining it yields an item that draws out a Pal's latent power.

It is a component in one recipe, so keep a couple spare rather than a stockpile.

Where to Find Dragon Radiant Gem

18 Pals drop Dragon Radiant Gem when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.

It also shows up as world loot — recycling Decayed Ancient Relics, recycling Dormant Ancient Relics and recycling Gorgeous Ancient Relics, and 6 more pools besides, usually 1–3 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.

Sending a team on the World Tree Subterrenean City Ruins and The World Tree's Forbidden Area expeditions brings some back without you leaving base.

Five of the nine acquisition lines above run through Ancient Relics, and none of them are available until the Ancient Relic Recycler is standing. That is Technology 74, built from 50 Paloxite Ingot, 50 Mythical Wood, 30 Ancient Civilization Parts and 20 Ancient Civilization Core, and it is not a passive box: it draws 800 power and needs a Handiwork Pal assigned before a single relic converts. Until the generator and the worker are both in place, the relic rows on this page are theoretical and the World Tree chests, fishing spots and Dragon Pals are the whole supply.

Using Dragon Radiant Gem Well

The single sink for this gem is a batch of 50 at a time, and it is never the only ingredient — one Dragon Awakening Crystal takes 50 gems plus 10 World Tree Holy Water and 30,000 work, so a stack of 49 is worth exactly nothing until the fiftieth lands. Plan the Holy Water alongside the gems rather than after them; ten per crystal is small enough to forget and large enough to leave a finished pile of gems sitting idle. The crystal that comes out is element-locked to Dragon Pals, so gems farmed here do nothing for a Water or Fire team — each element has its own gem and its own crystal, and they do not substitute.

Because the gem drops on capture as well as on defeat, the World Tree dragons are worth throwing spheres at rather than killing outright — the same 10 to 20 gems land either way, and you keep the Pal. Drinking World Tree Holy Water before a gathering circuit is the other free gain: it stops World Tree resources vanishing as you approach for a period, which is the difference between clearing a route and watching half of it despawn ahead of you. Since the crystal needs the water anyway, brewing a surplus and drinking one on the way in costs nothing you were not already going to make.
