Where to Find World Tree Holy Water

80 Pals drop World Tree Holy Water when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.

It also shows up as world loot — field drops in the World Tree, usually 5–10 at a time.

The World Tree's ground pickups are worth running as a fixed circuit instead of wandering for them. Three of them sit at map coordinates -1536, 1368 — west of the region entrance beside the campsite — at -1726, 1394, inside the huge cage-shaped structure ringed by water, and at -1897, 1363, within the castle walls southwest of the Gilded City Ruins watchtower. Each refills on its own after roughly ten minutes, so looping the three in order means there is almost always one ready when you come back around, which beats waiting on the 50% roll from every Pal in the region.

Using World Tree Holy Water Well

Crafted gear is only half of what this drinks up — four ancient base structures are built with it, and none of them show in a weapon or item recipe list. The Ancient Farm costs 50, the Ancient Clinic 45, the Ancient Hot Spring 10 and the Ancient Pal Bed 2, so a base kitted out with one of each is 107 units gone before you have spent a drop on Awakening Crystals. Bank the structure quota first if you care about base upkeep: the Hot Spring and Pal Bed are the cheapest SAN and health recovery upgrades in the game at that price, while the Farm and Clinic are the two that will make you go back to the World Tree for another run.

The Guardian that meets you on the way into the World Tree hands over a starting supply the first time you speak to it, so the very first Awakening Crystal is partly paid for before you fight anything. Bring a level 70 or higher party regardless — every source of this water is inside the region, and the springs are unguarded but the walk between them is not.
