How to Get Carnibora
Carnibora is Grass, so a Fire attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Carnibora spawn between level 45 and 48. The higher end resists spheres noticeably harder, so it is worth hunting the low-level spawns for your first catch and saving the high ones for a condenser stack.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it dead average, which makes the back-strike bonus worth lining up before you throw.
The eleven spawn points are not scattered across the map — every one of them sits inside the No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, the island off the far northeast coast, and the night table repeats the day table point for point, so there is no window that improves the odds. That single location dictates the whole trip: there is no land route, so a flying or swimming mount is mandatory, the island is patrolled and being spotted turns a capture run into a firefight, and the resident boss is a level 65 Frostallion Noct that you do not want to aggro on the way past. Come geared for the 45-48 band it spawns at, because it is flagged aggressive and starts the fight itself rather than letting you line up a free sphere.
FirePlaying Carnibora Well
Entangling Tongue pays out on movement, not on a button press. While it is in the active party, every dodge roll and dodge step you make spawns a whirlwind that damages anything it touches, and the damage is typed Grass — so the skill is worth carrying specifically on melee builds that already dodge constantly, and it does nothing at all for a player who fights at range and never rolls. Nothing about the effect requires the Pal to be deployed, which makes it a free damage slot alongside whatever you actually send out to fight.
In a base it is a planting specialist first and a generalist second: Planting 6 is the ceiling among its suitabilities, with Gathering and Handiwork both at 4 and Transporting trailing at 2. Feed cost is the catch — 7 food units a sitting against a 530 hunger tank puts it among the heavier eaters, so a plantation staffed with these needs the feed box kept stocked or the whole farm stalls while they wander off to eat.
