Its strength barely reads as believable — one experiment had it tearing through 3,000 sheets of paper in a single go. That it isn't a meat-eater comes down to sheer luck.

How to Get Mossanda
Mossanda is one of the Pals you can simply buy: a Pal merchant sells it at level 20–30, which skips the hunt when you want one at a known level. Show the merchants on the map →
Mossanda is Grass, so a Fire attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Mossanda spawn between level 27 and 80. A level 80 one resists far more than a level 27; catch cheap first, then farm the high spawns for condensing.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it dead average, which makes the back-strike bonus worth lining up before you throw.
You do not have to hunt one. Mossanda sits on the black-market Pal dealers' level 20-30 stock list, so a player who has found one of those merchants can buy a Mossanda several levels before the wild population (27 and up) becomes safe to fight.
FirePlaying Mossanda Well
Crushing Punch, learned at level 22, belongs to Mossanda alone — no other Pal in the game has it, not even its Electric subspecies. It is also Mossanda's only melee move (120 power, 8s cooldown, under 700 range), and every other slot it learns is ranged. Once Seed Mine and Spine Vine come online there is no reason to keep a close-range attack on a Pal you are riding and shooting from, so Crushing Punch is the first slot to overwrite.
Grenadier Panda does nothing until the saddle is built: Mossanda's Grenade Launcher sits at technology level 32, and only with it equipped can you ride Mossanda and fire the launcher from its back. The equivalent saddle for Mossanda Lux is gated two levels higher at 34, so the Grass version is the earlier route to that mount.
Mossanda is one of the busiest parents on the combo chart — pairings that include it resolve to 140 different children, so a spare in the box covers a wide slice of breeding targets. It is also the only route to its own subspecies: Mossanda Lux hatches from Mossanda paired with Grizzbolt, Wumpo or Petallia Ignis.

Mossanda spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Mossanda Forest (71.2% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Mossanda Inner Coast and Altar of the Windcaller. They come in groups of up to 2, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Mossanda in Base Raids
Mossanda shows up in 2 raid groups that attack your base, at level 35–39 around the Forest. Worth knowing before you settle there — build your defences around what actually turns up.
Dungeons Mossanda Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Mossanda turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
