Where to Find Carrot Seeds
6 Pals drop Carrot Seeds when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.

There is a hands-off route no drop table can show you: a Ranch. Vaelet is the one Pal in the game whose Ranch output is seeds rather than a single material, and Carrot Seeds are in that pool, so one penned Vaelet keeps handing them over while you are elsewhere. The pen is early and cheap — Technology 5 for 2 points, then 30 Wood, 20 Stone and 30 Fiber — and Vaelet covers the slot alone on Farming 2. Catching one is the only real cost. It has 32 spawn points on the entire map, 20 of them at the Secluded Cemetery and 11 on Castaway Beach in the Sea Breeze Archipelago, and only 12 of the 32 are live in daylight, so search after dark. There is also a level 27 Alpha if you would rather take one guaranteed catch than sweep the field.

Using Carrot Seeds Well
Nothing you craft takes Carrot Seeds — the only thing in the game that consumes them is a building. A Carrot Plantation opens at Technology 32 for 2 points and costs 3 Carrot Seeds, 30 Wood, 20 Stone and 1 Aquatic Pal Fluids to place, and that is the end of the seed bill: the plot regrows on its own and never asks for more. Three is the number to aim for, not a stack. What the plot needs from then on is staff, and it needs all three suitabilities — Planting, Watering and Gathering at rank 1 — because a base missing any one of them does not run the plantation slowly, it parks it at that step. Carrot is also one of the slowest crops, 6.2 minutes a cycle for 10, with only Onion behind it, so a single plot will not keep a Cooking Pot fed.
