How to Get Prixter
Prixter is Dark / Ground, so a Dragon or Grass attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Prixter spawn between level 48 and 49. The higher end resists spheres noticeably harder, so it is worth hunting the low-level spawns for your first catch and saving the high ones for a condenser stack.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it exactly average, so weaken it properly and throw from behind for the back-strike bonus.
There is a Prixter nest event that beats hunting the wild spots one at a time. It places nine wild ones — three at level 45, three at 46, two at 47 and one at 48 — in a ring around a single level 50 alpha, and the event flag blocks every other species from spawning inside it, so nothing wanders in to break your throws. Clearing it is 40-50 Venom Gland in one sitting at the 100% drop rate, and the alpha in the middle is the only part of it that pays Ancient Civilization Parts and Precious Claw.
It also turns up in the Black Marketeer's rotating stock, and the earliest rotation is both the cheapest to reach and the highest chance: about 1.56% in the Desert and Snowfields listing, where it comes in at level 40-45 — below the level 48-49 of the wild population, which matters if your party is not ready for Sakurajima yet. After that the odds only fall: 0.78% in Sakurajima at level 50-55, 0.39% on the Dark Island at 60-65, 0.20% on the Sky Island at 65-70.
DragonGrassPlaying Prixter Well
Phantom Venom pays nothing until the target is already poisoned — it is 50/53/56/60/65% by rank against poisoned enemies only, and nothing otherwise — so the party slot is worth taking only if you carry the poison with you. Prixter supplies both halves itself: it learns Poison Blast at level 1, so the Pal you send out applies the debuff your own shots then cash in on, and its guaranteed 4-5 Venom Gland per kill is exactly the ingredient for Poison Arrow (2 Wood, 2 Stone, 1 gland, unlocked at technology level 8), fired from the Poison Bow or the Poison Arrow Crossbow. If you would rather keep Prixter's four move slots for damage, Dark Skill Fruit: Poison Blast puts Poison Blast on any Pal in the party instead.

Where to Find Prixter
Prixter spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Sakurajima - Southern Sandbar (55.7% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Sakurajima: West Coast. They come in groups of up to 3, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
