How to Get Dazzi
Dazzi is one of the Pals you can simply buy: a Pal merchant sells it at level 40–45, which skips the hunt when you want one at a known level. Show the merchants on the map →
Dazzi is Electric, so a Ground attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Dazzi spawn between level 30 and 40. The higher end resists spheres noticeably harder, so it is worth hunting the low-level spawns for your first catch and saving the high ones for a condenser stack.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it dead average, which makes the back-strike bonus worth lining up before you throw.
Hunting one is optional, and Dazzi is stocked more widely than almost anything else: it sits in six separate caged-Pal merchant rosters, weighted 1.0 in each, so it is a flat draw every time the cages roll over. The level you get depends entirely on which vendor you buy from — 1 to 10 from the starting grassland merchant, 10 to 20 from the second grassland roster, 15 to 25 in the forest, and 20 to 30 from both the desert trader at Duneshelter and the volcano vendor. The wild population is level 30-40, so every one of those purchases undercuts it, which is the point if you only want a Generating Electricity body for the base and do not want to fight for it. The outlier is the desert sea base, which cages Dazzi at level 50 to 55 — fifteen levels above anything the map spawns, and worth the gold if you are building one for condensing rather than catching a stack of them.
GroundPlaying Dazzi Well
Dazzi earns its keep in the breeding pen rather than the field. It is a valid parent in 140 distinct hatch results — pair it with Digtoise for Foxcicle, Petallia for Mossanda, Dupin for Dogen, or Icelyn for Azurobe — so a spare kept in the pen covers an unusual number of recipes without needing a second exotic parent. Plan around the gender roll, though: only 20% of Dazzi come out male, so if a recipe needs the male slot filled by this Pal, budget for several hatches or several cage purchases before you get one.
The volcano vendor and the Viking ruins merchant on the northeastern coast both cage Dazzi Noct instead — level 20 to 30 at the volcano, 30 to 40 at the ruins. If you are shopping for the Dark subspecies rather than the Electric original, those are the two rosters that carry it; no other merchant does.

Where to Find Dazzi
Dazzi spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Anubis Dunes (52.9% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Windwatch Outlook and Duneshelter. They come in groups of up to 3, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Dazzi in Base Raids
Dazzi shows up in 3 raid groups that attack your base, at level 23–26 around the Desert. Worth knowing before you settle there — build your defences around what actually turns up.
Dungeons Dazzi Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Dazzi turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
