GroundNeeds Gildane Saddle equipped — without that gear the skill does nothing. It unlocks at Technology level 54 for 3 points, so a Pal caught early can sit unusable for a while.
During the island's alchemical heyday, its permanently glowing golden coat was prized as a catalyst for transmuting gold. Eventually came the striking discovery that processing the mane produced that same golden hue on its own.

How to Get Gildane
Gildane is Ground, so a Grass attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Gildane spawn between level 53 and 66. Higher-level ones are markedly harder to hold — take a low one first and come back for the rest when you are stacking a condenser.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it dead average, which makes the back-strike bonus worth lining up before you throw.
If the alpha is out of reach, Huge Rocky Eggs (Huge Rocky Egg) are the no-fight route. The large ground-egg nests around Feybreak's northeast and southwest respawn a few hours after you clear them, so a repeating loop over those nests will eventually hatch one for you.
GrassPlaying Gildane Well
It is pure Ground, so Grass attackers strip the level 63 alpha fastest and Electric attackers are the one thing you should leave at base — Ground resists them. The same resistance is why it is a comfortable mount to ride into Electric-heavy fights.
Crash Dash, its exclusive skill, unlocks at level 40: a 500-power Ground melee charge on a 24-second cooldown that also leaves Muddy on everything it clips. It is by far the biggest number in its kit, and it lands while you are mounted, so a Gildane past level 40 is a rider's weapon rather than a pal you send out alone.
As a ground mount its 1260 sprint ranks 8th of the game's 77 rideable ground Pals, and only Hartalis, Necromus and Paladius are both faster and carry a deeper stamina pool than its 200. If you have not caught those three yet, this is the best overland horse you will ride.
Gathering is its only work suitability, which is the point at a farm base: there is no second job to distract it, so it never needs a Monitoring Stand to be pinned to crop plots, and its run speed means it clears a wide field of ripe crops quickly.

Gildane Boss Rewards
Beating the boss Gildane once yields the Gildane Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.
The fight also unlocks Gildane Saddle, the gear that lets you ride or deploy Gildane properly.
Wild Gildane Level Range
Wild Gildane roam at level 53–66 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.
Where to Find Gildane
Gildane spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Scorched Hill (21.4% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Hidden Passage to the Oculus Gate and Loess Plains. They come in groups of up to 2, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Dungeons Gildane Appears In
Besides its wild habitat, Gildane turns up inside one cavern, and takes the boss chamber in one of them. Caverns are the reliable option when the overworld roll is not going your way.
