Where to Find Toxin Filtering Membrane
1 Pal drops Toxin Filtering Membrane when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.
Using Toxin Filtering Membrane Well
Everything you need for the Corrosive Mist Mask is inside the same region: 10 membranes off Dandilord plus 30 Paloxite, which is the ore you are already mining out of the World Tree, and the tech itself is a Lv. 76 unlock costing 5 points. Since the boss hands over 5-10 per kill, one clear sometimes covers the mask on its own and two always do — mine the Paloxite on the way in and you can finish the mask in a single trip.
The mask this builds cancels corrosive mist damage, which is the same mist Dandilord is soaked in, so the first fight is the one you take without the protection. Bring something that does not care about chip damage over time and treat the mist as a timer on how long you can stand in the arena rather than something you can tank through.
There is no chest, no shop and no field spawn for this — Dandilord is the only thing in the game that carries it, and you have to be inside the World Tree to reach it. Unlock the region first (that means clearing Panthalus), then run the Rotmist Root fast travel point and fight out from there. Dandilord is aggressive and will open on you the moment it has line of sight, so land near the point rather than gliding in over open ground.
