Where to Find Explosion-Resistant Fiber
1 Pal drops Explosion-Resistant Fiber when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.
That boss sits in the World Tree region, in the southwestern stretch near the Shrinespore Root fast travel point — fly in from there rather than walking the tree, since the arena is a fixed respawn and you will be making the trip more than once.
Using Explosion-Resistant Fiber Well
Explosion-Resistant Undershirt wants 10 fiber, so a single boss clear is 5-10 of the 10 you need and two clears always finish it. The wood half is the real gate: 50 Mythical Wood per undershirt, which is a World Tree logging problem, not a Silvance problem. Bank the wood before you start running the boss, or you will be sitting on spare fiber with nothing to spend it on.
Only the level 70 field-boss copy of Silvance carries this. Silvance has two drop tables, and the ordinary one has no fiber in it at all — killing or catching wild Silvance gets you Ancient Civilization Parts and Precious Entrails and nothing else. The boss table is the one that pays: 5-10 fiber at 100%, alongside 1-3 Grass Radiant Gem and a coin-flip 1-3 World Tree Holy Water. Treat the fiber as a boss-respawn resource, not something you farm off a spawn point.
