How to Get Menasting
Menasting is one of the Pals you can simply buy: a Pal merchant sells it at level 42–48, which skips the hunt when you want one at a known level. Show the merchants on the map →
Menasting is Dark / Ground, so a Dragon or Grass attacker takes it down fastest — and a Pal it resists will drag the fight long enough for it to heal or flee.
Wild Menasting spawn between level 31 and 44. The higher end resists spheres noticeably harder, so it is worth hunting the low-level spawns for your first catch and saving the high ones for a condenser stack.
Its capture rate is 1.0, which makes it dead average, which makes the back-strike bonus worth lining up before you throw.
The 545 spawn points are the same set by day and by night, so the nocturnal habit buys you nothing by waiting for dark. What the desert does change is temperature: it swings hot in daylight and cold after sunset, so carry gear for whichever half of the cycle you plan to hunt in.
It also turns up in the Black Marketeer's highest pal rotation, the level 42-48 stock shared with Gildra, Relaxaurus Lux and Beakon. That band overlaps the alpha's own level, so a gold-rich save can buy one outright instead of clearing the desert fight.
DragonGrassPlaying Menasting Well
Dark and Ground together mean the two elements it fights with are also the two it shrugs off, so a Dark or Ground team of your own gets nowhere. Grass answers the Ground half and Dragon answers the Dark half — bring one of either at level 40 or above for the level 44 alpha and the fight stops being a slog against 130 base defense.
There is no saddle for it, so it never becomes a mount — its two jobs are Mining 5 at the base and standing beside you as the active partner. Steel Scorpion makes defeated Electric Pals cough up 40% more items at rank 1, rising to 80% at rank 5, which makes it the Pal to have out on a Beakon or Univolt farming run rather than one to leave in the box.
As a parent it is a shortcut into several awkward Pals: pair it with Helzephyr Lux for Cryolinx, with Solenne for Whalaska, with Killamari Primo for Azurobe, and with its own Menasting Terra variant for Ghangler. All four skip a much longer hunt for the child.

Menasting Boss Rewards
Beating the boss Menasting once yields the Menasting Bounty Token. Holding it is the whole effect — it permanently raises the stats of every Pal on your team for as long as it sits in your inventory, so it is never worth selling.
Wild Menasting Level Range
Wild Menasting roam at level 31–44 out in the world — plan your spheres and party level around that before hunting one on the interactive map.
Where to Find Menasting
Menasting spawn locations in the wild — every marked spot is a known spawn area.
Most of them are around Duneshelter (22.8% of known spots), with smaller pockets near Desert Backbone and PIDF Tower Entrance. They come in groups of up to 4, so plan sphere stock for more than one.
Menasting in Base Raids
Menasting shows up in one raid group that attack your base, at level 35–39 around the Desert. Worth knowing before you settle there — build your defences around what actually turns up.

Menasting shines as a base worker. The passives below push that strength as hard as possible — hunt them through catches, breeding or implants.
