There is no hand-craft option for this chest piece. Hold Hallowed Plate Mail Schematic 4 in your inventory and build it at a crafting station — the recipe will not show up in the pocket crafting menu no matter how many bars you carry.

Wearing it also grants Cold Resistance Lv. 1 and Heat Resistance Lv. 1, so it covers mild hot and cold zones on its own and frees the head slot from doubling as a temperature fix.

Crafting time does not scale with rarity — every tier of this armor takes the same work to assemble, only the Hallowed Bar cost climbs (20 to 240). Farm the bars first; the build itself is no slower than the common version.

The divine protection is a flat 30% cut to damage from [Tides of Terraria] enemies, and it is exactly the same 30% on every rarity of this armor — even the common Hallowed Plate Mail at 20 bars. If all you want is the damage reduction for a first run at that content, the cheap tier buys it outright; the higher tiers are paying for defense, HP and durability.
