Details
It weighs almost nothing and stacks to 9,999, so there is no reason not to carry a full stack. At 20,000 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.
Where to Find Life Lotus (S)
Life Lotus (S) comes out of the ground: there are 866 stat lotuses nodes on the Palpagos Islands, and each one grows back a while after you break it, so a good cluster is worth remembering.
It also shows up as world loot — crates on the oil rigs, crates on the large oil rig and recycling Decayed Ancient Relics, and 4 more pools besides.

Using Life Lotus (S) Well
Four flowers and a Predator Core in your box is not enough on its own, because Vital Remedy is a medicine-line recipe and never shows up on a Primitive Workbench. Build the Medieval Medicine Workbench, or one of the two benches that replace it — Electric and Advanced — and the Ancient Workbench takes the recipe as well once you get there. A base that skipped the medicine line entirely can sit on a full stack of green flowers with no way to spend them.
The two recipes that eat this flower point at different targets, so decide before you spend. Vital Remedy is four flowers plus one Predator Core and permanently raises your own Health — feeding it to a Pal does nothing at all. Life Fruit takes three and raises a Pal's Health instead, but it is the mixed-colour recipe of the set: three green small, three green large, three orange small and three purple small in one craft. Green large grows in different caverns than green small and purple small grows in none, so the fruit is gated on its partners rather than on this flower.
Farming raids for the small green flower is a dead end — no summoned raid boss carries it on a drop table, and the only fight that pays a lotus of any kind is the Lv 80 master rerun of Moon Lord, which rolls the large flowers: Life, Power, Speed and Stamina Lotus (L) at 20% apiece and Carrying Lotus (L) guaranteed. What makes that raid worth running for Health anyway is the pick-one reward at the end, offered at both Lv 50 and Lv 80: three Life Fruit. Since one fruit costs three of these flowers plus nine other petals, taking the fruit option skips nine small green flowers and twenty-seven partner flowers in a single clear, and both tiers re-drop a Celestial Sigil [Master] at 100% so the fight pays for its own next summon.
