Using Computer Well

Base structures eat far more Computers than weapons do, and none of them show up in the crafted-item list above. Building costs are Advanced Workshop x30, Ancient Furnace x30, Pal Disassembly Conveyor x15, Ancient Clinic x15, Gigantic Furnace x12, Advanced Sphere Assembly Line x10, Mounted Missile Launcher x5, Pal Pod x3 and Advanced Chest x2. A single endgame base build can therefore burn well over 100 of them before you craft a single gun.

Computer is a level 50 technology unlock, so nothing that consumes it is reachable before that point no matter how many materials you have banked.

The Advanced Workshop needs 30 Computers, which reads like a lock-out but is not one — Computers are made on the Production Assembly Line II, so you can stockpile the full 30 on the earlier bench and only then unlock the upgrade.

One Computer is 250,000 work at the bench, but making its inputs from scratch costs roughly 970,000 work in total, and about 60% of that is the three Plasteel. If your Computer output feels slow, the bottleneck is almost always Plasteel throughput rather than the assembly line itself — run a dedicated Plasteel line and keep it ahead of demand. The Circuit Board, Bio Battery and Carbon Fiber together account for under 15% of the chain.
