Where to Find Fried Kelpsea
Fried Kelpsea is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.
Using Fried Kelpsea Well
"Slows SAN loss for a while" is worth pinning down: the plate grants 50% resistance to SAN drain and +10% Defense, and both run 600 seconds. Ten minutes flat per serving, so a full stack of nine is an hour and a half of cover.
That 50% is the ceiling — only Mushroom Quiche and Spring Rolls match it, and every other SAN dish sits at 25% or below. If a base is bleeding sanity, this is one of the three plates worth cooking at all.
The four-ingredient recipe is locked behind the upper cooking benches — the Electric Kitchen at Technology 41, the Large-Scale Stone Oven at 49, or the Ancient Kitchen at 70. The level 17 Cooking Pot will not list it, and the Electric Kitchen additionally needs a powered generator feeding it before it will run.
The Defense half is the weak half. +10% is the bottom rung of the defense buffs, and Galeclaw Nikujaga gives two and a half times as much for the same 600 seconds. Cook Fried Kelpsea for the sanity, not the armour, and eat something else before a boss.
It costs 32,000 work to cook, against 1,600 for Grilled Kelpsea off the same single Raw Kelpsea. Twenty times the bench time for one piece of fish, so queue these in bulk with Kindling Pals assigned rather than cooking a plate at a time.
