Megaboost Gun

Weapon · WeaponHandgun0

A shot into an allied Pal raises its attack and defense, while a shot into an enemy simply hurts. The improved model buffs harder, holds the buff longer, and does more damage.

Megaboost Gun is an early handgun: 24th of 24 by attack, so treat it as a stepping stone, at 250 against the 1,500 of Old Revolver.

It feeds no other recipe, which makes it a terminal item: craft what you will actually carry and stop there.

Where to Find Megaboost Gun

Megaboost Gun is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.

Using Megaboost Gun Well

It feeds on ordinary Boost Gun Ammo — the same rounds the tier-2 Boost Gun uses, not a special endgame ammo. Ten rounds cost 2 Copper Ingot and 1 Electric Organ at a Weapon Workbench, so keeping this gun loaded is effectively free even though the gun itself is a level 63 build.

Building it needs an Advanced Weapon Assembly Line or an Ancient Workbench — the basic weapon benches will not list it, so put the bench up before you spend the 3 technology points at level 63.

Its raw numbers are identical to the base Boost Gun: 250 attack, an 8-round magazine and 400 durability. Everything you pay the extra materials for is in the buff itself — stronger attack and defence gain on the Pal you hit, and a longer window before it wears off. Judge it as a support tool, not as a damage upgrade, and keep a real weapon in your other slots.

The craft takes 3,000,000 work against 40,000 for the base Boost Gun — 75 times the labour. Stack the assembly line with your highest Handiwork Pals and expect it to occupy them for a long stretch, so queue it before a bossing session rather than during one.

Every Tier of Boost Gun

The same piece exists at 3 rarities, and the gap is not cosmetic: attack runs 250 to 250, a 1x swing. Which one you end up with is decided by the rarity of the schematic you built from, not by the recipe — so a legendary copy of this is worth more than the next item up built from a common one.

Ammunition Megaboost Gun Uses

Megaboost Gun fires Boost Gun Ammo, and nothing else — running dry mid-fight is the usual way this weapon lets you down, so keep the recipe unlocked before you rely on it.

Alternatives and Upgrades

This is the floor of the handgun class on attack. Marksman Revolver is the next step up at 250 — worth switching to as soon as you can craft or find one.
