Semi-Auto Rifle

Weapon · WeaponAssaultRifle4

Semi-Auto Rifle is 24th of 70 weapons by attack, at 1,610 against the 15,000 of Charge Rifle.

Nothing is crafted from it — it is an end product, so anything you make is meant to be used rather than banked as a component.

At 20 weight each it eats carry capacity fast, so bring a mount or park a chest nearby. At 91,200 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.

Semi-Auto Rifle Crafting Recipe

Work: 2880000

Crafting it takes 94 materials across 3 types, and the bottleneck is almost always the 70× requirement — line that up first and the rest follows.

Where to Find Semi-Auto Rifle

Semi-Auto Rifle is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.

Exactly one Pal hands over Semi-Auto Rifle Schematic 4, and only its Alpha form does: Azurobe, the Lv 40 field boss, at a 3% roll per kill. The same kill also pays out 5 to 6 Ancient Civilization Parts every single time, and the Legendary build needs 4 of them, so the long grind for the schematic quietly stockpiles the one material on the recipe you cannot mine or farm. Averaging one schematic means roughly 33 kills, which is well over a hundred parts along the way.

All four schematic tiers share the same core pools — chests in Mount Obsidian and the Snowfields, camp loot in the Desert, Snowfields and Sakurajima, and fishing in Mount Obsidian and the Snowfields — but the ends of the ladder differ. Treasure map digs only start carrying tier 2 and up, and the crates on the large oil rig stock Schematic 4 without stocking anything beneath it. If you want the Legendary specifically rather than fuse material, the rig is the only pool that skips the ladder.

Using Semi-Auto Rifle Well

Every rarity of this rifle is built at the plain Weapon Assembly Line — the level 32 bench, costing 100 Ingot, 20 Wooden Board, 20 Nail and 10 High Quality Pal Oil, drawing 200 power and wanting one Handiwork Pal. That is unusually early for a Legendary: 14 other tier 4 weapon schematics, the Grenade Launcher and Semi-Auto Shotgun among them, stay invisible until Weapon Assembly Line II at level 47. It also sits nine levels below the Technology tree's own Semi-Auto Rifle unlock at 41, so a lucky Schematic 4 can put the strongest version of the gun in your hands before you have researched the ordinary one. The schematic has to be in your inventory when you walk up to the bench — a copy left in a base chest never adds the recipe to the menu.

Desert supply drops price the four tiers at 8.43%, 1.69%, 0.34% and 0.07% — each rung is close to five times rarer than the one under it, which is exactly the five-to-one fuse rate at the drafting table. Per crate opened, no tier is a better deal than any other, so there is nothing to gain by holding out for a Schematic 4: keep every copy you find and fuse upward.

The craft itself is the slow part. Work is 2,880,000 against 90,000 for the tech-tree rifle — thirty-two times the labour, doubling at every rarity step above Uncommon. No amount of extra materials moves that number; only the Handiwork ranks of the Pals you assign do, so stack the line with your best workers before you queue it rather than after.

Ammunition Semi-Auto Rifle Uses

Semi-Auto Rifle fires Assault Rifle Ammo, and nothing else — running dry mid-fight is the usual way this weapon lets you down, so keep the recipe unlocked before you rely on it.

Schematics That Unlock Semi-Auto Rifle

Semi-Auto Rifle is not learned from the Technology tree — you need a schematic for it. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.

Alternatives and Upgrades

Step up from here and you get Heavy Assault Rifle at 1,615 attack; step down and it is Musket at 1,600. That gap is the honest measure of whether an upgrade is worth the materials right now.
