Soralite
Material · MaterialOre0★Rare ore that forms nowhere but Sunreach. Its host rock is crushingly dense, with a strange pattern and radiance sitting inside.
Soralite feeds 2 different recipes, which is why it is worth farming past the point you think you need it.

It stacks up to 9,999.
Where to Find Soralite
Soralite comes out of the ground: there are 226 soralite nodes on the Palpagos Islands, and each one grows back a while after you break it, so a good cluster is worth remembering.
2 Pals drop Soralite when defeated or captured, which is usually the faster route if you are already out hunting — the drop list below is sorted by how reliably each one gives it up.
It also turns up in supply drops — best odds are the Sunreach Isle drops at 100%, 30–40 per crate.
It also shows up as world loot — field drops in the Sunreach Isle, enemy camp loot in the Sunreach Isle and fishing in the Sunreach Isle, usually 1–2 at a time.
Sending a team on the Sunreach Isle and Sunreach Dragon Husk expeditions brings some back without you leaving base.
Flying to Sunreach is only half the trip — a soralite rock is not an ordinary node. It takes damage at a single marked weak point and rejects every hit that lands anywhere else, so a Stone or Metal Pickaxe sparks off it and nothing drops. The tool built for this is the Plasma Multicutter, whose output is what lets it cut special ore at all; it unlocks at level 54 for 4 Technology Points and costs 50 Pal Metal Ingot, 50 Plasteel, 30 Bio Battery, 10 Computer and 10 Cryogenic Coolant. Unlock it before the first sky trip, not after.
There is a way to stop flying to Sunreach for this at all: the Soralite Quarry, an ancient technology that unlocks at level 72 for 7 Ancient Technology Points — the deepest quarry in the whole tree. One Pal with the Mining work suitability assigned to it produces Soralite at your base indefinitely, and it needs no electricity, unlike most of the late-game production facilities it sits beside.

Using Soralite Well
The quarry costs 100 Soralite, 70 Stone and 10 Ancient Civilization Parts to place, so the first hundred ore still has to come out of the sky by hand. Cheapest way to bank it without touring the 226 field nodes: the Hard Sunreach Isle expedition returns 30–50 at a guaranteed rate every 60 minutes, so two or three dispatches cover the entire build cost while you do something else. Note that it asks for raw ore, not Soralite Ingot — do not smelt your stockpile before you have placed the quarry.
The second base-side source is the Ancient Material Synthesizer at level 78 for 5 Technology Points, which turns out wood and ore of every kind, Soralite included, from one assigned Pal. It is a supplement, never a head start: it is built from 50 Paloxite Ingot and 10 Ancient Civilization Core, and Paloxite Ingot is itself smelted out of Soralite, so you need a running quarry or a stack of expedition hauls long before the synthesizer is even placeable.
