Katress Ring

Accessory3

The Pal fighting beside you shrugs off most Neutral damage and hits considerably harder with Dark attacks.

Wearing it also carries the effects Neutral Damage Reduction Lv. 4, Pal Dark Damage Enhancement Lv. 4, which matters more than the raw numbers in the biomes that punish you for the wrong outfit.

This is where the crafting chain ends — nothing downstream consumes it, so a stockpile earns you nothing.

It does not stack, so every spare copy costs an inventory slot. At 34,080 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.

Katress Ring Crafting Recipe

What it really costs, once every sub-recipe is expanded
Work: 150000

Crafting it takes 55 materials across 4 types.

Where to Find Katress Ring

The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is treasure chests in the Sunreach Isle at 2.4% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.

Katress Hair (Katress Hair) is the material that gates this craft, and it is cheaper to buy than to hunt. Katress (Katress) drops exactly 1 at a 50% rate, so the ten the recipe wants averages around twenty kills; Katress Ignis (Katress Ignis) drops the same hair on the same 50% roll, so the fire variant counts toward the total just as well. The Caravan Shop stocks it outright at 500 gold apiece — 5,000 gold for the full ten, which is under a sixth of what the finished ring itself is worth.

Using Katress Ring Well

Both effects are read off the Pal deployed at your side, not off you, so the ring is two units of pure carry weight during any stretch you fight without a partner out — and the Dark half only earns its slot if that partner is actually a Dark Pal. Check what you have deployed before committing the accessory slot; a Neutral or Fire partner gets the damage reduction and nothing else.

The two lines on this ring are not a random pair — they are both aimed at the same fight. Dark is the type Neutral Pals take extra damage from, and Neutral attacks are what those same Pals swing back with, so the Lv. 4 Neutral cut and the Lv. 4 Dark boost stack into one matchup: your Dark partner hits a Neutral target harder while the incoming half of that trade is blunted. Slot it for Neutral alphas and Neutral-heavy sweeps, and pull it for anything Dragon-based, where your Dark partner is the one taking extra damage and the Neutral resistance does nothing.

What Katress Ring Does

Katress Ring grants Neutral Damage Reduction Lv. 4: Element Resist Normal +35.

Katress Ring grants Pal Dark Damage Enhancement Lv. 4: Dark damage +20.

Those figures apply to the Pal out of its sphere and fighting beside you, not to your own character — the item does nothing while your team is in storage.

Schematics That Unlock Katress Ring

Katress Ring is not learned from the Technology tree — you need a schematic for it. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.

Fastest route. The top-tier Katress Ring schematic is worth hunting directly — treasure chests in the Sunreach Isle is its best source, at roughly 42 containers a copy. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.
