Frag Grenade
Weapon · WeaponThrowObject0★Thrown explosive for mid-range fights, with a fuse of a few seconds before it bursts and damages nearby enemies.
Frag Grenade is 4th of 11 throwables by attack, at 750 against the 4,000 of Frag Grenade Mk2.
No recipe takes it as an ingredient. Whatever you build is the finished article, so there is no reason to hoard spares.

It weighs almost nothing and stacks to 9,999, so there is no reason not to carry a full stack.
Frag Grenade Crafting Recipe
Crafting it takes 11 materials across 2 types, and the bottleneck is almost always the 10× requirement — line that up first and the rest follows.
Where to Find Frag Grenade
Frag Grenade shows up as world loot — chests in the Grasslands, enemy camp loot in the Grasslands and enemy camp loot in the Desert, and 7 more pools besides, usually 1–2 at a time. Higher-grade chests carry the better rolls, so the ones guarded by a camp are usually worth the detour.
Chests inside 3 caverns, including Hillside Cavern and Isolated Island Cavern, can hold it as well.

Using Frag Grenade Well
The recipe unlocks at technology level 25 for 2 points, and its bench floor is the plain Weapon Workbench — no assembly line is ever required. Every station above it keeps accepting the recipe too: Weapon Assembly Line, Weapon Assembly Line II, Advanced Weapon Assembly Line and the Ancient Workbench. That makes this the cheapest station-to-tech pairing in the grenade family, so a lone Weapon Workbench at a forward outpost restocks throws without a trip home.
Gunpowder is the only real brake on output — Stone comes back from any mining trip and the crafted grenade weighs 0.1, so a full stack costs almost nothing to carry. Before you reach level 25, enemy camps in Mount Obsidian drop these at roughly triple the rate of the Grasslands camps, which is usually faster than saving the tech points.
Alternatives and Upgrades
Dragon Grenade matches it exactly at 750 attack — those two differ in what they resist and what they weigh, not in raw attack, so picking between them is a swap rather than an upgrade. The next real step is Frag Grenade Mk2 at 4,000; below it is Grass Grenade at 750.
