Where to Find Golden Crown

Golden Crown is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.

Merchants only ever stock the bottom rung. The Volcano Shop sells the basic schematic (Golden Crown Schematic 1) for 500 Gold, and that is the only crown paper on any shop's list — the four higher-rarity schematics, this one included, are never merchant goods. If you want the Legendary crown you are finding the schematic in the world, not buying it.

Using Golden Crown Well

No technology point unlocks this. The whole crown line is schematic-driven, and each rarity is gated by its own paper — the Legendary recipe only appears at a bench while Blueprint for Golden Crown 5 is sitting in your inventory. Spending points looking for it in the tech list finds nothing.

The rarities are five separate recipes, not upgrades of one another — building Golden Crown first does nothing toward this. That one costs 25 Ingots for 30 defense and 80 HP; this one wants 123 Ingots, which is 246 Copper Ore through a furnace, and 240,000 work at the bench against the base crown's 15,000. Sixteen times the crafting time for one hat, so start it on a fully staffed workbench and go do something else.

The same piece exists at 5 rarities, and the gap is not cosmetic: defense runs 30 to 120, a 4x swing. Which one you end up with is decided by the rarity of the schematic you built from, not by the recipe — so a legendary copy of this is worth more than the next item up built from a common one.

Golden Crown is not learned from the Technology tree — you need a schematic for it. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.
