Lamball Helm
Armor · ArmorHead0★Headgear modeled on a Lamball.
Lamball Helm is an early head piece: 184th of 202 by defense, so treat it as a stepping stone, at 20 against the 650 of Ancient Helm.
Wearing it also carries the effect Neutral Damage Reduction Lv. 1, which matters more than the raw numbers in the biomes that punish you for the wrong outfit.
It feeds no other recipe, which makes it a terminal item: craft what you will actually carry and stop there.

It does not stack, so every spare copy costs an inventory slot.

Using Lamball Helm Well
Neutral Damage Reduction Lv. 1 is the only rank any helmet carries. Every headpiece that resists Neutral sits at Lv. 1 and its flat 15%, from this 20-defense hat all the way up to Ancient Helm. The higher ranks live on rings instead — Ring of Neutral Resistance is Lv. 3 for 30%, and Katress Ring reaches Lv. 4 for 35%. The head slot is not where a Neutral problem gets solved; it is where you pick up a free 15% while solving it elsewhere.
The medal shop's nine Pal helms are one item wearing nine faces — every one is 25 Dog Coin, 20 defense, 60 HP, 300 durability and 4 weight, and the only thing that changes is which element gets shaved. Three of them hand over the exact same Neutral Lv. 1: this helm, Cattiva Hat and Chikipi Cap, so among those the pick is purely whose head you want to wear. The others cover Dark (Cawgnito Hat), Ground (Dumud Helm), Water (Gloopie Hat, Jelliette Hat), Grass (Lyleen Accessory) and Ice (Sibelyx Hat).
Same 15%, sturdier carrier: Tocotoco Cap and Bowler Hat grant the identical Neutral Lv. 1 and refine across four more rarities to 80 defense, 240 HP and 1,200 durability. The Lamball Helm has no refined copy anywhere in the data, so 20 defense, 60 HP and 300 durability are permanent ceilings. Treat it as the cheap cosmetic route to the resist, not the one you wear into a fight you expect to lose HP in.
Paying for it is a non-event. A Mimog hands over 170 to 250 Dog Coins every time, with no drop-rate roll to lose, which is seven to ten helms from one encounter — one or two Mimogs clear the entire nine-hat wall. Alpha Mimogs are the worse deal at a flat 35 coins, and butchering yields nothing, so catch or defeat them normally.
What Lamball Helm Does
Lamball Helm grants Neutral Damage Reduction Lv. 1: Element Resist Normal +15.
Alternatives and Upgrades
Kingpaca Headband matches it exactly at 20 defense — those two differ in what they resist and what they weigh, not in raw defense, so picking between them is a swap rather than an upgrade. The next real step is Feathered Hair Band at 21; below it is Leezpunk Hood at 20.
