Using Splatterina Hat Well
The hat carries Dark Damage Reduction Lv. 1, which the passive table resolves to 15% off incoming Dark damage. It is flagged always-active, so it holds while you are on foot, mounted or standing in a base — there is no trigger to set up and no condition that voids it. That resist is the entire reason to wear this instead of any other head cosmetic; the 20 defence is background noise by the time you can afford it.
Do not buy this one blind. Dandilord Hat sits in the same Arena Shop with the exact same Dark Damage Reduction Lv. 1, but 30 defence and 80 HP instead of 20 and 60, for 100 Battle Tickets rather than 80. Twenty extra tickets buys a strictly better piece of head armour with an identical resist — the Splatterina Hat wins only on looks.
Tarantriss Hat is this hat's twin: same 80 tickets, same Dark resist, same 20/60/300 line. Nothing separates them but the mesh, so buy whichever you would rather look at and spend the second 80 tickets elsewhere.
