The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is treasure chests in the Feybreak at 3.4% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.
Using Ring of Fire Resistance Well
The ring carries Element Resist Fire 3, which cuts incoming Fire damage by 30%. It applies the whole time the ring is in an accessory slot — there is no trigger condition and nothing to activate.
Ring of Fire Resistance +1 and Ring of Fire Resistance +2 run the same Element Resist Fire 3 passive as the base ring, so the +1 and +2 versions do not raise the 30% figure. Refining is worth doing for durability and slot quality, not for extra Fire mitigation.
If you are already carrying Reptyro Charm, skip this ring — the Reptyro Charm gives Element Resist Fire 4 for 35% Fire reduction and stacks heat protection on top, covering both problems a volcano run creates in one slot.
The recipe is locked behind a schematic — Ring of Fire Resistance Schematic — so gathering the Ingot, Bone, Flame Organ and Paldium Fragment does nothing until the schematic drops. It is a Grade 5 chest item only: roughly 3.4% per roll from treasure chests in Feybreak Cavern, about 1.2% from oil rig crates, and about 0.2% from ordinary chests elsewhere on Feybreak. Feybreak Cavern is the fastest place to farm it.

Fastest route. The top-tier Ring of Fire Resistance schematic is worth hunting directly — treasure chests in the Feybreak is its best source, at roughly 29 containers a copy. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.
