Dark Support Whistle
Accessory2★Nudges up the Dark damage dealt by the Pal out fighting with you.
Wearing it also carries the effect Pal Dark Damage Enhancement Lv. 3, which matters more than the raw numbers in the biomes that punish you for the wrong outfit.
Nothing is crafted from it — it is an end product, so anything you make is meant to be used rather than banked as a component.
Details
It does not stack, so every spare copy costs an inventory slot. At 16,560 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.
Dark Support Whistle Crafting Recipe
Crafting it takes 52 materials across 4 types.
Where to Find Dark Support Whistle
The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is treasure chests in the Feybreak at 3.4% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.
No technology level unlocks this. The craft is gated behind the Dark Support Whistle Schematic (Dark Support Whistle Schematic), which sits in Grade 5 chest pools — the oil rig table and the two dark-island treasure tables — plus one fixed cache that hands over the schematic together with 25 Dog Coin. That cache is the only route that does not depend on a roll, so clear it before you start farming chests. Until the schematic is in hand, banking the Ingot, Horn, Venom Gland and Ancient Civilization Parts buys you nothing.
Using Dark Support Whistle Well
"Nudges up" is a real number underneath: the whistle carries the third of four Dark equip tiers defined in the data (6%, 12%, 18%, 20%), so it is worth +18% Dark damage. The effect targets the Pal deployed at your side, never you — your own weapons and attacks read nothing off it, and the two units of weight are dead carry during any stretch you fight with no partner out.
The only Dark boost above this one is the 20% tier, and every piece that carries it is a rarity-3 accessory that bundles a second line: the Katress Ring (Katress Ring) adds Neutral resistance, Lord of the Underworld's Baton (Lord of the Underworld's Baton) adds partner attack, Lyleen Noct's Talisman (Lyleen Noct's Talisman) adds partner defense. Two percentage points is the whole gap on the Dark half, so trading up is a decision about the second line, not about the Dark number — this whistle is not a stopgap you need to replace in a hurry.
What Dark Support Whistle Does
Dark Support Whistle grants Pal Dark Damage Enhancement Lv. 3: Dark damage +18.
Those figures apply to the Pal out of its sphere and fighting beside you, not to your own character — the item does nothing while your team is in storage.
Schematics That Unlock Dark Support Whistle
Dark Support Whistle is not learned from the Technology tree — you need a schematic for it. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.
Fastest route. The top-tier Dark Support Whistle schematic is worth hunting directly — treasure chests in the Feybreak is its best source, at roughly 29 containers a copy. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.
| Schematic | Rarity | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| 2★ | Feybreak treasure chests, Crates on the oil rigs, Feybreak chests — best 3.4% (grade 5) |
