Where to Find Lord of the Sea's Baton
The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is treasure chests in the Sunreach Isle at 2.4% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.
Nothing on the technology tree unlocks this. You need Lord of the Sea's Baton Schematic sitting in your inventory before the recipe appears. That schematic comes out of grade-5 loot on Sunreach Isle: roughly a 2.4% pull from treasure chests in the Sunreach Skies caverns, about 1% from crates on the large oil rig, and a thin 0.2% from ordinary island chests.
Using Lord of the Sea's Baton Well
The two equip passives are worth +16% Attack and +20% Water damage, both applied to the Pal currently out with you rather than to the player. The Attack half works on any partner; the Water half only touches Water-element moves, so a non-Water partner is effectively carrying a plain +16% Attack accessory.
Against the cheap option — Water Support Whistle +2 and the rest of the Water Support Whistle line — the whistle grants +18% Water damage and nothing else. The baton only beats it by 2% on the elemental side; the real gain is the +16% Attack rider, which lifts a Water partner's non-Water moves too.
The recipe carries 200,000 work points, one of the heaviest in the game, so queue it on a bench with a full Handiwork crew and expect it to occupy them for a long stretch. Line up the Ancient Civilization Cores and the schematic first — a half-finished queue ties up the bench either way.
This is the offensive half of the Water pair. Neptilius's Talisman carries the same Water damage boost with a Defense rider instead of Attack, so pick the baton when the partner is the one killing things and the talisman when it needs to survive a boss.
