Flame Emperor's Baton
Accessory3★Lifts the Attack of the Pal at your side and gives their Fire damage a large boost.
Wearing it also carries the effects Pal Attack Up Lv. 4, Pal Fire Damage Enhancement Lv. 4, which matters more than the raw numbers in the biomes that punish you for the wrong outfit.
This is where the crafting chain ends — nothing downstream consumes it, so a stockpile earns you nothing.
Details
It does not stack, so every spare copy costs an inventory slot. At 41,880 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.

Crafting it takes 70 materials across 4 types.
Where to Find Flame Emperor's Baton
The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is treasure chests in the Sunreach Isle at 2.4% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.
No amount of Technology Points opens this recipe — it is not a tech tree entry at all. The build stays greyed out until the Flame Emperor's Baton Schematic (Flame Emperor's Baton Schematic) is sitting in your bags, and that page only rolls off grade 5 chest tables in three spots: 2.38% from the treasure chests inside the Sunreach Skies caverns, 0.98% from the crates on the large oil rig, and 0.19% from plain Sunreach Isle field chests. Averaged out that is about 42 cavern chests, 102 rig crates or 525 field chests per copy, so cavern runs are the only route worth planning a session around. Once unlocked it still cannot be made from the inventory menu — it needs a crafting bench.
Using Flame Emperor's Baton Well
This is worn by the player but every effect lands on the Pal out of its sphere beside you — an attack lift plus a large Fire-damage multiplier, both at the top tier these accessories come in. The Fire half keys off the damage type of the move being thrown, not the Pal's element badge, so read the moveset before committing the slot. That distinction decides the choice on mixed attackers: Blazamut Ryu (Blazamut Ryu), Jormuntide Ignis (Jormuntide Ignis) and Eidrolon Ignis (Eidrolon Ignis) are all Dragon/Fire, and whether this baton or the Divine Dragon's Baton (Divine Dragon's Baton) is the right pick comes down to which damage type their four slotted moves actually deal. On a pure Fire partner like Blazamut (Blazamut), Suzaku (Suzaku) or Faleris (Faleris) the question does not arise.
Of the four materials, two can simply be bought: Horn (Horn) runs 200 Gold and Flame Organ (Flame Organ) 300 Gold at the wandering merchants and most settlement shops, so the 30 and 15 you need are a 9,000 Gold errand rather than a hunt. Refined Ingot (Refined Ingot) is furnace work. The real gate is the five Ancient Civilization Cores (Ancient Civilization Core) — those come from tower bosses or grade 5 oil rig crates, which means a rig or tower run has to happen before the bench matters. There are nine of these batons, one per damage type, and none of them has a higher-rarity version to chase, so a single copy per element finishes that line permanently and any further schematic drop is dead paper. Treat the set as swap gear keyed to whichever Pal is riding with you.
What Flame Emperor's Baton Does
Flame Emperor's Baton grants Pal Attack Up Lv. 4: Shot Attack +16.
Flame Emperor's Baton grants Pal Fire Damage Enhancement Lv. 4: Fire damage +20.
Those figures apply to the Pal out of its sphere and fighting beside you, not to your own character — the item does nothing while your team is in storage.
Schematics That Unlock Flame Emperor's Baton
Flame Emperor's Baton is not learned from the Technology tree — you need a schematic for it. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.
Fastest route. The top-tier Flame Emperor's Baton schematic is worth hunting directly — treasure chests in the Sunreach Isle is its best source, at roughly 42 containers a copy. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.
| Schematic | Rarity | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| 3★ | Sunreach Isle treasure chests, Crates on the large oil rig, Sunreach Isle chests — best 2.4% (grade 5) |
